Any term not defined herein shall have the meaning attributed to it in the Terms of Use.

1. About the Background Verification Service:

   At Helpers Near Me, every worker is pre-verified via 2/3 Step Background Verification Process.

   First, we verify the validity of their ID – Aadhaar, Voter or Driving License, in case of Drivers. This is done in 2 ways – a physical copy check, followed by a detailed check through our partner company, BetterPlace Safety Solutions Private Limited (“BetterPlace”), based out of Bangalore, India.

   Second, we verify the Worker for any possible Criminal/Court Cases that may exist in his/her name, if at all, around the neighbouring Indian District Courts around his address. This check is again conducted with the help of our partner company, BetterPlace., based on past records that exist in the Criminal/Court Record Check System. BetterPlace conducts Criminal/Court checks through reliable government district portal for on-going case details and judgements www.ecourts.gov.in and similar legal database.

   At Helpers Near Me, all the Workers are pre-verified for their ID Checks & Criminal/Court Records Checks at the neighbouring Indian District Courts around their present address.

   While placing the order at Helpers Near Me for connecting with nearby Workers, if you opt for this option, you get access to a report which covers Background Verification Checks for 1 person (of your choice among the list of connected workers) for his/her ID Checks & Criminal/Court Records Checks at the neighbouring Indian District Courts around his/her present address.

   Turnaround time:

   Through our partner company, most of our verifications happens online. However, we still take about 10-15 working days in submitting a formal report to you.

   Report Delivery:

   Your Consent:

   Once you click for this option on our Platform, we assume you have the consent of the Helper and you authorize INeedAHelp and BetterPlace Safety Solutions Pvt. Ltd. to conduct Background Verification on the person and check the Information/documents provided by the Helper. This is more applicable in case if you place a request of Background Verification of the Helper who you have hired from outside of INeedAHelp’s database. In case if you are hiring through INeedAHelp, this consent is still required, however, INeedAHelp ensures the consent of the Helper right at the time when the individual becomes a part of INeedAhelp Database.

   You understand that INeedAHelp & BetterPlace Safety Solutions Pvt. Ltd may contact government or non-government agencies, previous/current employer and/or check public records for the same etc.

   You confirm that neither you nor the Helper for whom if you initiate the Background Verification shall hold INeedAHelp & BetterPlace Safety Solutions Pvt. Ltd liable for infringement of their privacy rights.

   You agree to indemnify and hold INeedAHelp & BetterPlace Safety Solutions Pvt. Ltd harmless from all claims, losses, damages, and expenses, which may be asserted against or be incurred by BetterPlace Safety Solutions Pvt. Ltd including its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, agents and assigns in pursuance of any consent related disputes or arising out of the same.

   Such obligation shall not be construed to negate, abridge or reduce other rights or obligations of both parties that would otherwise encapsulated in the agreement.

   You hereby agree and accept that you have obtained consent from the Helper where the Helper has agreed to provide information for Background Verification to INeedAHelp & BetterPlace Safety Solutions Pvt. Ltd or any agency hired by us and you also ensure that the employees/provider of the information is having knowledge that:

   1. The fact that the information is being collected;
   2. The purpose for which information is being collected;
   3. The intended recipients of the information; and
   4. The name of:
      1. INeedAHelp & BetterPlace Safety Solutions Pvt. Ltd that is collecting the information; and
      2. INeedAHelp & BetterPlace Safety Solutions Pvt. Ltd that will retain the details of the information.

2. About BetterPlace Safety Solutions Private Limited:

   BetterPlace is a Digital Trust Platform for India's Blue-Collar Workforce, helping the Helpers get a better life and helping the Customers with a good customer experience through a technology based solutions covering Background Verification Solutions, Training & Assessment, Credit & Insurance and more.

   - BetterPlace conducts criminal court check through reliable government district portal for on-going case details and judgements on www.ecourts.gov.in and similar legal database.

   - Betterplace is a registered Sub-AUA with UIDAI and the Aadhaar verification is done through system integration with the UIDAI database. Hence, there would be no screenshot attached as a proof for the same.

   - Betterplaceis registered with NSDL for online PAN Verification. Since the results come via system integration, the screenshot proofs might not be available always.

3. Refund Process:

   In order to request for a refund, please follow the details mentioned in the Refund Policy available at https://helpersnearme.com/refund-policy-details.

4. Jurisdiction

   All disputes and differences arising out of or in connection with this Background Verification Policy shall settled between the Company and the Customer in good faith by discussion. The courts in Delhi shall have the exclusive jurisdiction over all disputes relating to the subject matter under this Background Verification Policy.

   Notwithstanding anything to the above, the maximum liability of the Platform to any Customer would not exceed the amount which the Customer has paid on the Platform for a Service, which is under dispute.

5. Change in these Terms and Conditions

   We reserve the right in our sole discretion at any time and without prior notice to you to add to, remove or otherwise change these terms, including without limitation. We will post an updated version of these terms on the Platform, and you will be deemed to have accepted such changes by continuing to use the Platform after the date such changes are posted.
